Water Cart Hire in Sydney and NSW

Dust Suppression on Civil and Construction Sites
Dust on a civil site is more than a nuisance. It is a health risk and an environmental obligation.
Airborne dust, including respirable crystalline silica from cutting, excavation and vehicle movement, is a hazard that every business on site has a duty to manage under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2025. Dust that leaves the site is also an environmental matter, and most projects set out dust controls in their environmental management plan.
Wetting down haul roads, stockpiles and exposed ground is one of the most direct controls available. Our operator applies water at the rate the surface needs: enough to hold dust down, not so much that it creates mud, runoff or a slip hazard.
Spray Bar, Water Cannon and Hose Reel
Our water cart is fitted with a rear spray bar, a water cannon and a hose reel, with spray controls inside the cab. That gives the operator the right tool for each task.
The rear spray bar covers haul roads and access tracks evenly. The water cannon reaches stockpiles, batters and areas the cart cannot drive onto. The hose reel handles targeted watering and washdown. In-cab controls let the operator adjust the spray while driving, without stopping work around them.
The cart carries non-potable water for construction and civil use. It is not used for drinking water supply.
Site Watering and Washdown
Beyond dust control, our water cart supports day-to-day site needs. That includes site watering of exposed ground, batters and landscaped areas, washdown of plant, equipment and hardstand areas, and washdown of road surfaces and kerbs after works.
Water Source and Permits
Where the water comes from is a fair question on any site. We hold standpipe permits in Ready Group's name, so we can fill from approved hydrant points with the correct permit in place. Where a project has its own supply, we can draw from that instead. Either way, you are not left arranging permits or fill points yourself.
Water Truck Hire with an Experienced Operator
We supply our water cart on a wet hire basis: the plant and an experienced Ready Group plant operator together. Our operator completes prestart checks and works to your site rules and inductions, and the cart is serviced and maintained by our own depot mechanics.

Under our ISO 45001 certification, dust suppression is treated as a planned WHS control rather than a reaction to complaints. Our operators work within client safety systems, including platforms such as 3D Safety, Beakon and Felix, and follow SafeWork NSW Codes of Practice.
Environmental
Our ISO 14001 certification shapes how we use water on site. We control dust leaving the site, and we manage water use and runoff with the same care as the dust itself.

Works Alongside Our Other Services
Sites that need a water cart often need more than one service. Water carts pair naturally with our street sweeping service, to keep roads clean and dust down during and after works, and with our civil reinstatement crews, where water supports clean-up and site restoration. We work with state and local government, Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, and utility providers including Endeavour Energy and Sydney Water. Booking more than one service through one supplier means one induction process, one point of contact and one schedule.
